The nipple is the projected part and the areola is the dark pigmented skin that surrounds the nipple. Nipples can be large in either in circumference or in length and can affect a woman’s appearance even when dressed. They may be enlarged due to genetics or develop after childbirth and breastfeeding. Nipple reduction can be done in conjunction with breast augmentation, breast reduction, and breast lift surgery or as an independent procedure. Nipples can be reduced in length and width and even large areolas can be reduced in size.
